Flemingdon Health Centre (FHC) looks to the community for support and leadership. We value and appreciate the skills, knowledge and commitment that you are looking to contribute.

As a Member:
  • You understand and support the work of FHC and our mission, vision and value statements, which guide the work we do.
  • You have both a role and a responsibility to be involved in, and support the work of FHC.
  • You can help promote the good health of our community and be involved in events.
  • You stay updated on FHC news and events, and subscribe to our newsletter.
Membership Benefits

As a community-minded individual, you want to effect positive change and contribute to the well-being of your community.

  • You can attend and vote at Annual General Meetings (AGMs) to elect new board members and approve financial statements or changes to our by-laws.
  • You can contribute to shaping the direction of FHC through strategic planning opportunities, or you can consider getting involved with  the board or board committees.*
  • You will receive a copy of our annual report and regular communications from FHC (including newsletters, program brochures, information and invites to community events).
  • You will have access to volunteer opportunities, should you be interested.

As outlined in our by-laws, applicants for Flemgindon Health Centre membership must be:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • residing within the catchment area and/or a client or service recipient of FHC, and cannot be:
  • an employee or contractor of FHC, or a member of their immediate families.

Applications from individuals who do not satisfy these conditions may be considered on an exception basis by the Board of Directors. All membership applications must be approved by FHC’s Board of Directors and only thereafter will membership become active.

There is NO FEE to become a member of the Centre. Membership is valid from January 1st to December 31st of each year, and reapplication is required afterwards.  New applications or renewals of membership can also be done at the AGM. A renewal membership notice and application form will be sent out to members who were absent at the AGM, at least one month prior to the expiration date.  Individuals who apply for or renew their membership at the AGM do not need to reapply until the following year.
