If you are from one of the South Asian countries and you do not have diabetes, this program is for you:

  • Come learn why South Asians may be at higher risk of developing diabetes and get your risk for developing diabetes assessed.
  • Meet others and engage in various activities and conversations.
  • Set realistic goals and learn how to prevent Diabetes.
Note. Language support is available upon request.
Eligibility

This program is designed for South Asian populations in Toronto not living with Type-2 Diabetes.

1. Every Monday for four weeks at 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm:

  • November 6: Diabetes Awareness & Risk Assessment
  • November 13: Stress Management
  • November 20: Healthy Eating
  • November 27: Physical Activity and Goal Setting

2. Every Wednesday for four weeks at 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm:

  • November 15: Diabetes Awareness & Risk Assessment
  • November 22: Healthy Eating
  • November 29: Stress Management
  • December 6: Physical Activity and Goal Setting
